Legionmate Seri and I were bored one day so we decided to make a poem while leveling
white=written by Seri, gray=written by me
Head hung low, our wayfaring minstrel
Shields his eyes in the morning light.
He wanders the road aimlessly until
A thorn pierces his dark green tights.Sighing with hunger and neglect, now pain
He traces with weary hands
The petals of the solitary rose
Graced with morning dew and blood.
"Rosebush, dear rosebush" He starts to say
As he blots his wound upon his sleeve.
"Thank you for giving me this rose today
For its beauty makes this place a sad one to leave."Open your petals and forever shall be
The scent of your youthful beauty,
The tentative touch of your tender petals
Burning and melting, manifest in memory.
"So that I may never forget you, my lovely
Although I must go, and you must remain
I will carry your image forever within me
And on my green tights a crimson bloodstain."The rosebush nodded its leaves and swayed
Struggling against the mist over her memories.
What sin had she committed to be so cruelly chained
To feel the yearnings of sweet and bitter Eros.
And as she watched her dear minstrel depart
She felt the supreme sadness of love lost to her.
And, from her single roses center, her heart
Cursed her thorns for what they had cost her.
